During the Spring and Autumn Period, a merchant from the State of Chu traveled to the State of Zheng to sell a precious pearl. To make the pearl appear even more valuable, he specially crafted a delicate wooden box from fine Mulan wood, scented it with spices, inlaid it with jade and pearls around the edges, and decorated it with roses and emerald feathers. The box was exquisite and emitted a faint fragrance.

A buyer from Zheng was deeply attracted by this beautiful box and could not put it down. He bought the box for a high price, but after the transaction was completed, he took out the pearl inside and respectfully returned it to the merchant. "I want this box," he said, "you can keep the pearl."

The merchant, holding the returned pearl, stood there in shock. The Zheng man was completely deceived by the luxurious appearance of the box, but abandoned the truly valuable pearl. This story is the origin of the phrase "buying the box and returning the pearl." It warns people not to forsake the essence for superficial appearances, and to avoid neglecting the true core and value of things. #加密行情预测
