Perigold Makes Bold Retail Move: Launching First Physical Store Locations in Major Markets

Luxury home retailer Perigold is taking a significant leap offline. The Boston-based brand, owned by Wayfair Inc., has unveiled its inaugural brick-and-mortar destination in Houston's prestigious Highland Village shopping district—a nearly 20,000-square-foot showroom that marks the beginning of its physical retail expansion strategy.

**Why Houston? Why Now?**

The choice speaks volumes about market strategy. Houston represents more than just a flagship opening; it's a calculated entry into a design-forward market where customers actively seek curated luxury experiences. The city's reputation for architectural innovation and design engagement made it the perfect launch pad for Perigold's curated selection of over 150 luxury home brands—Visual Comfort, Century Furniture, Oly, Theodore Alexander, Scalamandré, and Stark Rugs among them.

"This is a market where design is celebrated," said Rebecca Ginns, Global Head of Perigold, signaling that the retailer isn't opening random locations but strategic destinations aligned with customer demand and design culture.

**From Screen to Showroom: What's Inside**

The Houston store reimagines luxury retail through immersive shopping environments. Visitors encounter styled vignettes curated by celebrated designers like Marie Flanigan, Julie Neill, and Jessica Davis—transforming product display into design inspiration. The space includes full-service designer consultations, collaborative meeting areas for trade professionals, and a welcoming patio for both community events and private sessions.

A critical advantage: most inventory is stocked locally with one-week delivery throughout the Houston area, eliminating the typical e-commerce friction.

**The Perigold Store Locations Expansion Blueprint**

The Houston opening isn't an isolated experiment. Perigold has already confirmed a second location opening in West Palm Beach, Florida, later this year, signaling a deliberate rollout strategy across high-value markets. This dual-market approach suggests the brand is building a physical retail footprint where design professionals and discerning customers converge.

**Opening Weekend Action**

Perigold Highland Village kicks off with a Grand Opening Weekend (June 27-29) featuring 15% storewide discounts (up to $500 in savings), complimentary refreshments, and live music. Store hours run Monday-Saturday, 10 AM–8 PM, and Sunday, 12 PM–6 PM.

The transition from digital luxury to physical retail destinations represents a calculated evolution—one that positions Perigold to capture a market segment willing to experience, touch, and collaborate before committing to high-end home purchases.
