The company has unveiled comprehensive plans for a new gaming destination in eastern Daviess County, positioned to capitalize on Kentucky’s thriving horse racing ecosystem.

The $100 million development initiative will bring Owensboro Racing & Gaming online in early 2025, representing Churchill Downs Incorporated’s substantial commitment to regional gaming expansion. The facility will occupy approximately 20 acres at the intersection of US Highway 60 and Wrights Landing Road, strategically positioned east of Owensboro.

The venue will feature 600 state-of-the-art historical racing machines, complemented by a comprehensive retail sportsbook, simulcast wagering capabilities, and diverse dining options designed to create a full entertainment experience.

Churchill Downs Incorporated projects the facility will generate $125 million in annual regional economic impact, with construction phases creating over 200 jobs and the completed operation supporting 150 permanent positions.
