Spectrum just dropped something worth talking about: Peacock Premium is now bundled free with Spectrum TV Select packages. And we’re not talking about a stripped-down version—it’s the full ad-supported Premium tier that normally costs $7.99/month.

What You Actually Get

Spectrum TV Select customers can now access Peacock’s complete library without paying extra. That includes over 80,000 hours of live sports and entertainment content, hit movies from Universal Pictures and DreamWorks Animation, next-day access to NBC and Bravo shows, and daily live news. All on one platform.

The kicker? Spectrum estimates this adds approximately $80 per month in retail value to your existing TV package at zero additional cost. According to Tom Montemagno, Executive Vice President of Programming Acquisition for Spectrum, this represents a major shift in how the company bundles streaming services.

The Broader Picture

This move isn’t random. Spectrum has been systematically integrating major streaming platforms into its TV Select offerings. Customers now get access to Peacock, Max, Disney+, ESPN+, Paramount+, ViX, and Tennis Channel all bundled together. More services are rolling out throughout 2025.

“The integration of Peacock advances our goal of offering customers high-value video products that include the best of linear and streaming television,” Montemagno explained. The strategy reflects a shift toward what Spectrum calls a “hybrid distribution model”—combining traditional cable TV with seamless streaming access.

How to Access It

Spectrum TV Select customers can activate their Peacock Premium subscription immediately through the Xumo Stream Box or any other Peacock-compatible device. Activation happens at spectrum.com/getapp.

This partnership represents a significant move from NBCUniversal’s side as well. “Spectrum has long been an important distributor of NBCUniversal’s leading broadcast and cable networks, and we are proud to build on that partnership,” said Matt Schnaars, President of Platform Distribution and Partnerships at NBCUniversal. “Peacock’s valuable content offering will further strengthen Spectrum’s video products.”
