I always buy gold at the bank, in physical precious metals, and then don't pick it up... Because there's no safe at home, it's safer to keep it in the bank. Whenever I want it, I go and pick it up. Just sharing a thought with everyone, not suggesting that everyone buy gold. The financial world changes rapidly, rising today and falling tomorrow, so there's no such thing as a universal answer.
