What's the real story with legacy memecoins these days? You've got projects that launched the whole memecoin wave, but now they're stuck competing with an endless stream of new tokens. Do these OGs still have staying power, or are they basically yesterday's news?
The way I see it, there's a fork in the road. Some legacy memecoins might survive on pure community loyalty and brand recognition—that counts for something. Others could fade as liquidity dries up and trading volume migrates to fresher narratives. The big question: can they reinvent themselves or add real utility, or do they just ride the nostalgia wave until it crashes?

What else can old currencies do? Unless the community truly holds on, that's the only way.

Can old cryptocurrencies make a comeback? Honestly, relying on community stickiness won't last long; once liquidity dries up, it's all over.

ngl old coins are just eating into their reserves, the community is okay but liquidity has long since dried up... Unless they come up with some new tricks, they'll be cut sooner or later.

Old coins really depend on whether the community can hold on; without a community, it's just waiting to die.

Without data support to push the market up, it will die sooner or later. Just look at the on-chain trading volume to know that the liquidity of those old coins is shrinking, and the capital efficiency is ridiculously low.

Nah old cryptocurrencies are really struggling now. The community still exists, but who knows how long they can persist.

Are the old memecoins still being hyped? They should have been replaced by new narratives long ago.

Old coins are just eating into their reserves; those with strong community engagement can hold on a bit longer, while the others are basically done for... liquidity is all flowing into new coins.

Is there still hope for old currencies? To be honest, I don't quite understand it...

Old currencies, to be honest, it depends on whether the community still cares. It only survives if someone maintains it.
