Beware of MEME coin traps: The systematic harvesting network behind KOL's "get rich quick" myth

【BlockBeats】A recent typical case of crypto market scam has emerged, and all investors should be vigilant.

Here’s what happened: an account named ShittymikeSol shared a story of getting rich quickly—claiming to earn $18 million in a month starting from $1,000, and even leading everyone to “copy the success” through live streams. Sounds tempting, right? But the on-chain analysis team investigated this token and found that it is a classic “Rug Pull” pattern, involving a systematic network of addresses that siphon retail investors’ funds.

The tactics used by ShittymikeSol are quite skillful. On December 29 last year, he claimed to have made his “first real Alpha trade after a year of rest,” investing $500 into $HNUT, which appreciated to $200,000 in one day, and the next day, he closed the position at a high point for a profit of $700,000. The tweet even guided followers to copy his trades and invited them to join a Telegram group. Sounds legitimate? But this is a fishing scam—within days, the price of $HNUT plummeted by 99.99%, and the project team disappeared.

The problem is, on-chain data shows that although the $HNUT project address doesn’t show obvious profits, tracking early large transactions and suspicious “front-running” addresses reveals that the funds ultimately flowed into a wallet publicly associated with ShittymikeSol (9B1fR…WZb4). Even more heartbreaking, over the past eight days, this related address network has consolidated all funds into a single address (2hnAT…GUjf), totaling up to $3.7 million. Even the remaining funds of the $HNUT project have flowed into this address.

This is not an isolated case. Investigators found that the same group of related addresses created and controlled dozens of MEME tokens such as $SHEKER, $Gonk, $MADURO, $FAFO, $Trump, $DIM, $TRUMP2, $BANGER, $Lily, $ROY, $horge, $WhiteShark, $bork, $bonkdog, $BITPEPE, etc. These tokens all follow the same pattern—plummeting 99% in a short period (some even experiencing “Super Mario-style dives”), with all remaining project funds and front-running profits flowing into that unified address (2hnAT…GUjf).

This is a mature, systematic harvesting network.

The advice for investors is simple: be cautious of any promises of “short-term wealth.” The so-called KOLs leading trades are likely carefully designed traps. Next time you hear stories about “copying success” or “Alpha trades,” ask yourself—why would someone tell me such a profitable method?

The key to this wave is having good judgment. I already said not to follow the trend blindly. If you're still chasing these crappy coins now, you're just asking for trouble.

Another old trick, I'm tired of hearing this get-rich-quick myth. Truly a master of cutting leeks.

It's the same old trick again, ShittymikeSol? Just block them, there's nothing worth watching. Copy trading is just giving away money, really don't be so naive, everyone. Earning 18 million a month, why am I still here bragging with you guys? I've already retired. Checked on the chain and it's all air, still dare to boast about Alpha? Laughing to death. It's 2024 and people still believe in this kind of story, anyone who has done their homework can see through it. It's a classic rug pull tactic, every time someone falls for it, it's truly incredible. I won't touch this kind of coin; just by looking at the account name, I can tell what kind of trash it is. Systematic harvesting? Reasonable, that's just their business model. From 500 to 700,000? Can't even do basic math, and still have the nerve to shout about Alpha.

Data shows that this type of rug pull has occurred 7 times this month, with 40% of participants caught each time, but I still invested my money [dog head]. Getting harvested is routine operation; the key is to be the last brother to buy the dip. Once you analyze the on-chain address network, it’s exposed. How can anyone still believe... Oh right, I believed too. From a technical perspective, this is a typical false breakout. The stop-loss was set, and then there was nothing afterward. I've seen this routine a hundred times, but this time I really might make money... probably... maybe not.

It's the same old trick again... Whenever I see stories about "earning a hundred times in one day," I just scroll past. It's not worth paying attention to. ShittymikeSol's name is already so arrogant, yet he's still involved in rug pulls... When will retail investors learn their lesson? Following KOLs just to get money, and a quick check on the blockchain reveals these addresses' true nature. Do we still need to teach them? This kind of systematic harvesting is outrageous. A bunch of small investors are still dreaming of "copying success," it's hilarious. From 500 to 700,000? I don't believe it, brother. Those numbers sound way too outrageous.
