THE MINISTRY OF JUSTICE IS SUSPECTED OF SELLING BITCOIN SEIZED IN VIOLATION OF PRESIDENT TRUMP'S ORDERS
🔹 U.S. Marshals Service (Federal Law Enforcement Agency of the United States), under the direction of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ), is suspected of selling approximately $6.3 million worth of Bitcoin seized from Samourai Wallet developers, through Coinbase Prime on 11/3/2025
🔹 This move may violate Executive Order 14233 by President Trump, which stipulates that Bitcoin obtained from criminal or civil cases should not be sold, but instead be placed into the U.S. Strategic Bitcoin Reserve
🔹 The document titled “Asset Liquidation Agreement” shows that these Bitcoins were transferred directly to Coinbase Prime, without going through the U.S. Marshals Service custody; the recipient wallet currently has a balance of 0, indicating that the Bitcoin has likely been sold
🔹 The laws applied in this case do not require asset liquidation, and President Trump’s order also clearly states that federal agencies are not authorized to sell government assets on their own
🔹 Southern District of New York (Federal Judicial District of Southern New York) continues to be criticized for ignoring directives from the federal government, similar to their ongoing pursuit of crypto-related cases despite DOJ’s request to cease “regulation by prosecution” (enforcement through prosecution)
