The Incentive Trap of Perpetual Contract DEXs: How do most platforms attract users? Fake trading volume, induce excessive leverage, crazy turnover. Essentially, it encourages gambling rather than building.

Some projects have rewritten this logic. Instead of rewarding trading volume, they reward liquidity. Posting orders earns points, regardless of whether the order is filled or not. This is true market making—users create real value and get rewarded, rather than relying on dopamine addiction.

What's the difference? One makes you keep betting and losing money, the other makes you provide liquidity and earn fees. The model has flipped, and the entire ecosystem's incentives have reversed. Can this design reshape the trading culture of DEXs? The market is giving the answer.

ngl, the liquidity rewards model sounds nice on paper but... back in my mining days i learned incentive structures can flip faster than network congestion spikes. seen too many "revolutionary" mechanisms collapse when actual users touch them. liquidity providing ain't exactly passive either lol

Another "disruptive model"... I've heard this kind of statement too many times since 2018. Rewarding liquidity sounds good, but the problem is how to ensure that project teams don't secretly change the rules? If placing orders earns points, then who bears the cost of market-making incentives? In the end, it's just inflationary tokens dumping the market.

The idea of liquidity incentives really hits the pain point. It's definitely better than encouraging leverage liquidations every day...

Finally, someone has spoken out: these exchanges are essentially casinos in disguise, leveraging leverage to harvest small investors.
