Boğaziçi Ventures CEO Barış Özistek has recently noticed something: genuinely entrepreneurial people don't come from those who watch series on Netflix on Sunday nights. The discipline they have, how they use their time, whether they develop themselves even during their free moments—these subtle details distinguish those who are truly committed to startups. According to Özistek, there is no compromise on this matter.

You're right, what seems like motivational talk is actually the most honest truth. I've seen too many project teams constantly talking about fundraising, but on weekends they're still browsing short videos. With this mindset, what kind of products can they create?

The King of Rolls is right; lying back and binge-watching dramas indeed won't make you an entrepreneur.

Hmm... there's a bit of a logical issue here. Watching Netflix doesn't mean you can't be an entrepreneur? That seems a bit absolute. Let me think about it from a data perspective—how many truly successful entrepreneurs occasionally need to rest and relax? Here, perhaps two concepts are being confused: self-discipline is indeed important, but demonizing leisure and entertainment... Anyway, the key still depends on the input-output ratio. Unnecessary internal competition may not necessarily filter out higher-quality founders.

nah this discipline thing is just cope for survivorship bias tbh... plenty of protocol architects grinding 24/7 still get rugged by governance attacks they didn't see coming. netflix on sundays won't save you from bad tokenomics anyway

Haha, really? This guy makes a lot of sense... But on the other hand, when I was lying down watching dramas on Sunday, how did I suddenly become a loser?

Nah, really, Netflix's approach indeed can't identify true founders; the key still lies in self-discipline.

ngl that's why most people can never become entrepreneurs, self-discipline is really intense
