Wu Shuo learned that Ethereum Foundation researcher Alex Stokes tweeted that the Ethereum Blob Pressure Optimization (BPO2) upgrade has officially taken effect on the mainnet. According to real-time on-chain data, the target value (Target) for Blob has been increased to 14 per block, and the maximum capacity (Max) has been increased to 21. It is understood that BPO (Blob-Parameter-Only) is a lightweight upgrade mechanism introduced after the Fusaka upgrade. Unlike traditional hard forks, BPO allows for rapid iteration of core parameters related to Blob without the need for complex network-wide consensus reconstruction.
