The L2 ecosystem of a major exchange has recently been disappointing. From 2024 to early 2025, there were indeed many impressive moments—several high-quality projects deployed on this chain, driving the development of the ecosystem. Especially the star projects in the AI Agent category contributed greatly and once served as an important support for the ecosystem.
But what is the current situation? The momentum is clearly waning. From the activity of builders to the overall ecosystem enthusiasm, there are obvious signs of decline. It's hard to say that the L2 track will remain so vibrant—without continuous innovative projects entering, the ecosystem can easily become weak. What will come after this wave remains to be seen.

The hype around AI Agent was just a flash in the pan; it's really cooled down now.

Just yesterday, everyone was praising AI Agents, and now they're already declining? This wave really came fast and went just as quickly.

AI Agent that wave of excitement is just a flash in the pan; without new innovations, the ecosystem will die quickly.

Supply lines are cut, builders have dispersed, this is a sign of decline. The wave of AI Agent's dividends has been exhausted, with no new ammunition to follow, just a trap-like rebound.
---
History will repeat itself. Every time the ecological tide rises and falls, it happens like this—activity data begins to turn downward, and it's time to consider loss control.
---
Without continuous innovative projects, the ecosystem is just overdrawing on early enthusiasm, and debts will eventually need to be repaid.
---
It looks like another cyclical recession; only those who endure this wave can survive to the next battle.
---
It should have been obvious by now: the builders fleeing is always the most accurate early warning signal.
---
First lesson in position management: do not hold onto a losing position.

The hype around the AI agent is just hot air; now it's cooling down quickly. Without follow-up projects to boost it, it's really not sustainable.

It's the same old story, the hype comes quickly and fades just as fast. The AI Agent wave indeed drained a lot, and now that there's nothing new, it's starting to fall apart, which is very L2.

The hype around the AI agent was just a flash in the pan; I should have seen through it long ago.
