Deep Tide TechFlow News, January 8th, according to a tweet by Josh Swihart, CEO of Electric Coin Company (ECC), the core developer of Zcash, the entire ECC team has resigned. The reason is that the majority of the Bootstrap board (a non-profit organization supporting Zcash) members have a clear disagreement with the Zcash mission. Swihart stated that Bootstrap board members Zaki Manian, Christina Garman, Alan Fairless, and Michelle Lai changed the team’s employment terms, making it impossible to effectively fulfill their duties. The ECC team will establish a new company but will maintain the same mission: building an unstoppable privacy currency. Swihart emphasized that the Zcash protocol is unaffected by this event, and this decision aims to protect the team’s work from malicious governance actions.
