Deep Tide TechFlow News, on January 8th, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin posted on social media comparing Ethereum to BitTorrent and Linux, emphasizing its combination of decentralization and large-scale application features. He pointed out that Linux, as free open-source software, is relied upon by billions of users and enterprises worldwide and is widely used by governments. Vitalik stressed that the Ethereum layer network must serve as a financial (ultimately including identity, social, governance) home for individuals and organizations, allowing users to access all network functions without relying on intermediaries. He believes that this open and resilient ecosystem can provide value to a large number of users while earning the trust and favor of enterprises because “we call it trustless, they call it prudent counterparty risk minimization.”
