Many traders are pondering whether the more complex the strategy, the more profitable it is. Actually, that's not the case. The strategies used by truly profitable traders are often very simple; the key is to execute them well in the market conditions where they are most skilled.
How to find the market conditions you're good at? Through small-scale trial and error. By continuously trying with small positions, you can quickly understand your own capabilities and identify which types of market conditions suit you best. Once you figure that out, don’t keep tinkering with strategies. Take trending markets as an example—if that’s your specialty, then build a simple trend-following framework—buy when the trend is up, exit when it reverses, and repeat this logic consistently. Sounds boring? Yes, but it’s this boredom that makes you more familiar with every part of the strategy, and your execution will become increasingly precise.
Profits in trading actually come from a very simple principle: the power of repetition. When you execute familiar strategies in familiar market conditions, your market judgment improves, and you gain better control over each operation. Every repetition reinforces your strengths. Over time, losses naturally decrease, and profits steadily grow. Especially during high-volatility events like US non-farm payroll data releases, traders with strong execution tend to seize opportunities more effectively.
So whether it’s BTC or ETH, the mainstream cryptocurrencies, true experts don’t win by relying on complex theories. Instead, they do simple things repeatedly and master the art of repetition.

Well said, that's exactly how I flopped. Trying new strategies every day, but it all ends up being a trap.

There's nothing wrong with that; flashy and complicated often lead to mistakes.
Repeating the same logic is the key, but unfortunately most people just can't stop tinkering.
Small-scale trial and error is a great move to quickly find your comfort zone.
Those who remain calm during non-farm events have usually developed a good feel through practice.
Simple strategies executed to perfection are more effective than ten complex theories.

It's that same set of arguments about "The Great Way is Simple," heard a hundred times, but it does make sense... I myself took two years to figure this out.
Repeating simple tasks sounds easy, but execution is hell. Most people can't stick with it for three months.

That's right, I am one of those who have been tricked by complex strategies.
