Having navigated the cryptocurrency market for years, the most common narrative has been flipping through projects on the exchange, trying to find those that are both technically solid and reliable. It wasn't until recently, when I came across the DUSK project, that I realized how one-sided my previous understanding was.

This project has been in deep development since 2018, a full six years. Compared to other projects that fade away after two or three years, DUSK has chosen steady progress—until early this year, when the DuskEVM mainnet was officially launched. Once operational, it seamlessly integrated three seemingly conflicting requirements: EVM compatibility, zero-knowledge privacy technology, and regulatory-friendly design.

What does this mean? From a developer's perspective, existing Solidity code can be migrated directly to the privacy environment without modification. From an institutional user’s perspective, there is finally infrastructure that can protect transaction privacy without violating regulatory frameworks.

The most interesting aspect is the design of the Hedger privacy module—it uses zero-knowledge proofs combined with homomorphic encryption to make transaction amounts and account balances completely opaque to outsiders. However, when auditing or compliance checks are needed, relevant data can be selectively disclosed with a single click. This approach directly breaks the old notion that "privacy and compliance cannot coexist," providing financial institutions with a comprehensive solution that ensures both privacy and compliance.

Even more noteworthy is the collaboration between DuskTrade and the Dutch licensed exchange NPEX. According to the plan, the first batch of securities worth hundreds of millions of euros will soon be tokenized and listed on the blockchain—this is not a distant plan or a PPT promise, but an actual ongoing process with open registration. This marks a shift from theoretical validation to real-world application of privacy chain technology for tangible assets.
