Another wave of "survivorship bias" theoretical packaging, saying something correct but it's the same as what was said last year... I just want to know if my dead projects count as "inefficient models being trimmed," or if it's purely my ability to select coins with negative alpha.

You're right, that's how the bear market weeds out projects. Those that can't survive should have died long ago.
