#美国非农就业数据未达市场预期 Silver begins to consolidate after the rally

Recently, the silver market has been quite interesting. The US December CPI data met expectations, and core CPI was even lower than expected, which directly fueled market expectations of a Fed rate cut. Coupled with Trump reintroducing the Greenland purchase plan, ongoing geopolitical tensions, and global central banks continuously increasing their holdings of gold and other safe-haven assets, these factors combined helped silver ride the wave of risk aversion and experience a good upward move. But here’s the problem—after reaching high levels, the bullish enthusiasm clearly cooled off, funds started to lock in profits, and silver has now entered a typical consolidation phase.

From a technical perspective, on the 4-hour chart, silver has touched the upper Bollinger Band and then slightly retreated. The MACD histogram is still expanding, indicating that although the bulls are adjusting, the momentum has not been exhausted. On the 1-hour chart, the KDJ indicator has turned upward, showing a clear short-term rebound. In the 5-minute cycle, silver found support around 87.6, with limited rebound strength. The overall pattern remains relatively strong.

For trading ideas, focus on these key points: consider going long when silver pulls back to the 87.5-88 range, with the first target at 89 and further aiming for 91.; conversely, if silver faces resistance above 89 and rebounds weaken, try a small short position around 88.5. If broken, look at 87.8-88; further down are the previous lows at 86-86.5. Overall, the current pattern remains strong, and there is still room for movement—it's just a matter of whether it can break through the resistance above.
