Looking at the ACU project to understand the DePIN dilemma
The DePIN track is really competitive. The same narrative can be found on multiple platforms with nearly ten projects discussing it, and the market definitely needs to clear its inventory.
This project itself has a good backing—Gavin Wood and the Tezos Foundation are on the investment list, and the token distribution shows a relatively low VC share. The conditions sound pretty good.
The trouble lies afterward. The team's public information is scarce, and there's little buzz on social media. Discussions within the domestic market are almost zero. This kind of disconnect is quite common in DePIN projects—glittering fundraising lists, but actual operations and community building are quite cold. This is a signal worth paying attention to.
