He believes this will pose serious risks to labor markets and social institutions. Speaking at the World Economic Forum panel in Davos, Amodei noted that the timeline for the emergence of artificial general intelligence (AGI) is shortening. At the same time, the window for adapting government policy is closing rapidly, the expert is confident. According to him, AI systems could reach or surpass human levels within the next five years. Amodei emphasized that he finds it difficult to imagine a scenario where this process extends over decades.
