U.S. Legislative Push: The CLARITY Act


The Digital Asset Market CLARITY Act is currently the centerpiece of U.S. regulation.
Progress: While it faced a brief delay in January due to committee disagreements, it advanced through the Senate Agriculture Committee on January 29, 2026, with a 12–11 vote.
The Goal: If passed, it will officially define which assets are commodities (likely BTC) and which are securities. Crucially, it aims to give the CFTC more authority over the spot market, which is generally seen as a win for Bitcoin's status as a digital commodity
