On February 23, during the World Liberty Financial Forum, CEX founder CZ stated in an interview with Bloomberg, “CEX wants to expand more in the United States and hopes to bring our excellent products to American consumers, making these high-quality products more accessible.” CZ revealed in the interview that after the US SEC filed a lawsuit in 2023, CEX.US lost a significant amount of banking channels and market share, facing numerous obstacles. However, the lawsuit was dismissed last year under the leadership of SEC Chairman Paul Atkins, appointed by Trump. With a more friendly regulatory environment emerging, options that once seemed out of reach—including deeper banking relationships and even seeking a banking license—are now “completely possible,” but he emphasized that any such initiatives will depend on the right team and legal guidance.
