Tech Home, February 5 — Apple’s first foldable iPhone Fold is reportedly set to be released this September. Honor Terminal Co., Ltd. Product Line President Fang Fei discussed Apple’s foldable phones, stating that the challenges faced by foldable screens are much greater than those of Air.
Fang Fei also mentioned several difficulties with foldable screens, including: how to balance slimness and battery life; can the inner screen experience remain stable over the long term; and whether structural reliability can withstand repeated testing. She straightforwardly said that none of these issues can be avoided.
Fang Fei further stated that brands should not educate users to make trade-offs, but rather use sufficiently strong product capabilities to earn consumer recognition. Every penny spent by consumers should go toward experiences that exceed expectations, rather than paying for unreasonable premiums.
