Sibanye-Stillwater has signed a 10-year flexible power purchase agreement (PPA) with Etana Energy to supply 600 GWh of renewable electricity annually, equivalent to approximately 220MW, to its South African operations. This agreement, starting in late 2027, will power its gold and platinum group metal operations, supporting its decarbonisation strategy and aiming for carbon neutrality by 2040. The project is expected to reduce greenhouse gas emissions by around 648,000 tonnes of CO₂ equivalent per year from 2028.
