I grew up in a family that was not wealthy, but I never lacked food or clothing. My parents didn't overly control me; they basically let me be, free and easy, rarely scolding or hitting me. When they did, it was only a few times. So I was born into such a modest family, and I think it's great—I don't envy others. As an adult, I am free in my thoughts and free to choose what to do based on my interests and inner desires. I believe this is largely related to the love and freedom my parents gave me from a young age.
