Deep Tide TechFlow News, on February 26, according to Jinshi Data, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) issued a statement on the fourth review of the United States in 2026, saying that the US should engage in constructive cooperation with its trading partners, eliminate concerns about unfair trade practices, and work towards reaching agreements on reducing trade restrictions with negative cross-border impacts. The statement said that, including tariffs and export controls, when trade and investment measures are implemented for national security reasons, these policies should be kept within a relatively narrow scope to minimize their negative impact domestically and internationally. The statement also noted that raising tariffs is an act that distorts productive resources, which can disrupt global supply chains, harm the benefits of global trade, and increase costs.
