Latest supply chain information shows that after bottoming out and rebounding in the second half of 2024, mobile phone memory and storage chip prices have continued to rise for several consecutive quarters, with the increase further expanding at the beginning of 2026. Multiple industry insiders confirmed to the “Science and Technology Innovation Board Daily” that the current procurement cost of smart phone storage chips has increased by over 80% compared to the same period last year, and there are no signs of slowing down. Due to this cost pressure transmission, channel and ODM manufacturers revealed that major phone brands such as OPPO, OnePlus, vivo, Xiaomi, iQOO, and Honor plan to initiate a new round of price adjustments in early March. This will be the largest and most significant collective price increase in the mobile phone industry in nearly five years. With memory costs fluctuating frequently, the Chinese mobile phone market in 2026 may face the unprecedented situation of multiple price hikes within a single year.
