Russia claims to continue multi-directional strikes against Ukrainian military targets; Ukraine claims to have repelled Russian military advances

On the 5th, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that over the past day, Russian forces continued to strike Ukrainian troops in multiple directions; Russian tactical aviation, attack drones, rocket troops, and artillery targeted transportation and energy infrastructure, long-range drone assembly and storage sites, ammunition depots, as well as Ukrainian troop formations and foreign mercenary deployment points within 148 areas in Ukraine. Russia’s air defense systems shot down 381 fixed-wing drones. On the same day, the Ukrainian General Staff reported that there were 133 battles on the front lines over the past day, with Ukrainian forces repelling Russian attacks in multiple directions. They also shot down 1,351 drones. The report further stated that Ukrainian forces used domestically produced “Firebird” missiles and other long-range attack weapons to carry out a series of strikes on a missile launch site located in Astrakhan, Russia.
