Iran just made a move that changes everything
The President of Iran just announced that neighboring countries will no longer be attacked.
It sounds like de-escalation. But it’s not.
In fact, quite the opposite.
Most people will completely misunderstand this.
Here’s what’s really happening:
“Unless an attack on Iran is launched from their territory.”
The US is actually launching attacks on Iran FROM those countries right now.
Al Udeid in Qatar. Al Dhafra in the UAE. Ali Al Salem in Kuwait. Bases in Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman.
That’s where US bombers, fighters, and drones are taking off.
Iran isn’t saying “We will stop.” They’re saying “Tell the US to leave or we will continue attacking you.”
This is a pressure tactic against Gulf countries.
Iran is trying to divide them from the US. Forcing them to choose.
Either expel US troops from their territory, or continue to endure hundreds of drones and missiles.
If they let the US operate from their bases, Iran says attacks will continue.
If they demand the US leave, the US will lose all operational capability in the region.
Iran knows they can’t defeat the US military, so instead they’re trying to eliminate the staging points.
There’s another layer. Iran may be running out of missiles and drones.
Reducing the number of fronts they’re fighting on is a way to preserve what’s left for Israel and US forces directly.
Don’t interpret this as peace; see it as a strategy.
And this is the most concerning part.
The Iranian government is currently very weak.
The Supreme Leader has died, the chain of command is broken, even Iran’s Foreign Ministry admits the military has lost control of some units operating under old orders.
That means even if Pezeshkian makes this promise, there’s no guarantee that all IRGC units, drone operators, or missile teams are actually following it.
