I find it a bit difficult to believe that someone like Mojtaba Khamenei, the new Supreme Leader of Iran, would easily settle for peace. He is widely seen as even more hardline than his father. Think about it.

A man whose father was killed by Americans, whose mother was killed by Americans, whose wife was killed by Americans, whose daughter was killed by Americans. A man who lost almost his entire family.
And all of this because, for the first time in forty years, the United States managed to elect a President foolish enough to be convinced by a warmonger like Netanyahu to attack Iran, achieve nothing meaningful, embarrass the United States, and potentially become the first American President to lose a war.
Now ask yourself. Do you really think Mojtaba Khamenei will calmly settle for peace?
Even an ordinary person who lost his family like that would want revenge. And this is not an ordinary person. This is someone many already consider more extreme than his father.
Personally, I think this drama is far from over. It will probably stretch at least until the weekend.
Maybe Trump is pushing for a truce just to stabilize the markets. But I would not be surprised if the attacks intensify over the weekend, followed by another “nice truce” right before the markets open on Monday.
There are a lot of ifs and buts here. But overall, it is still very hard to digest the idea that this war is suddenly ending.
Although I personally would like to see this conflict to end for the greater good, I personally would be careful to take any longs or shorts this week and if I do, I would be using tight Stop losses.
