I heard a little story: about a person with great virtue who passed away and was about to be reincarnated in the underworld.

Yama said: "Your virtue, being born into a wealthy and noble family, seeking power and influence, is also acceptable; being born into a wealthy family with fame and fortune, enjoying prosperity and wealth in life, is also fine—just choose whatever you like."
The person replied: "I just want a few acres of good land, to read books every day, to have no worries about food and clothing, no illness or disasters in the family, and to live without having to toil or labor."
Yama said: "Although your virtue is high, you still cannot enjoy such pure happiness. Great fortune is easy to obtain, but pure happiness is hard to enjoy."
