Seoul gasoline prices reach a maximum of 1,935 KRW, Gwangju's lowest at 1,870 KRW... the national average is 1,902 KRW, and diesel in Jeju is the highest at 1,968 KRW.
The average retail price of gasoline at nationwide gas stations is 1,902.51 KRW per liter, and diesel is 1,924.46 KRW per liter, continuing the overall downward trend. Most major regions have seen gasoline prices decrease by about 1-7 KRW, and diesel prices have fallen by up to 10.49 KRW, showing a decline across the board. On a national basis, gasoline remains in the 1,900 KRW range, while diesel prices exceed 1,920 KRW, indicating that the high-price structure for gasoline persists.
Regionally, Seoul’s gasoline price is 1,935.83 KRW per liter, down 4.67 KRW from the previous week, but still the highest nationwide. Conversely, Gwangju’s price is 1,870.98 KRW, down 0.65 KRW, the lowest in the country. The price gap between Seoul and Gwangju is approximately 64.85 KRW, with significant differences between the capital area and Honam. For diesel, Jeju’s price is 1,968.53 KRW per liter, the highest nationwide, while Gwangju’s is 1,884.56 KRW, the lowest, creating a regional difference of about 83.97 KRW.
In the capital area, Seoul’s gasoline is 1,935.83 KRW, Gyeonggi Province is 1,906.18 KRW, and Incheon is 1,894.50 KRW, generally maintaining or approaching the national average. In Chungcheong, South Chungcheong is 1,923.01 KRW, the highest, while North Chungcheong is 1,912.11 KRW, Daejeon is 1,910.48 KRW, and Sejong is 1,899.47 KRW, with some areas trending below 1,900 KRW. Notably, Daejeon saw the largest decrease, with gasoline down 7.64 KRW and diesel down 10.49 KRW.
In the Yeongnam region, prices range from 1,875.24 KRW in Busan to 1,911.93 KRW in North Gyeongsang, with regional prices between 1,870 and 1,910 KRW. Honam’s prices are below the national average, with Jeollanam-do at 1,875.11 KRW and Jeollabuk-do at 1,899.49 KRW, while Gwangju is 1,870.98 KRW. Ulsan’s gasoline is 1,886.59 KRW, and diesel is 1,941.54 KRW, remaining relatively high.
Based on international product prices, gasoline is 1,746.54 KRW and diesel is 1,680.35 KRW. Recent fluctuations in international oil prices have had limited impact on domestic refinery supply prices, which continue their trend. While international prices remain stable, some analysts believe that domestic retail prices for refined products may experience a gradual adjustment in the short term, influenced by refinery supply prices and regional supply and demand.
