💸 Many Greek Ship Owners Accept Risk Crossing Strait of Hormuz, Earning Half a Million Dollars Daily

Against the backdrop of escalating tensions in the Middle East, the Strait of Hormuz is becoming a high-risk but highly profitable maritime route for the oil shipping industry. Some ship owners, particularly from Greece, continue to send tankers through this region despite persistent security concerns.

According to numerous international maritime reports, threats such as explosive devices at sea, missiles, or unmanned aircraft have previously appeared in the area. However, this very instability is driving up oil prices and shipping costs significantly. In some cases, oil tanker charter rates can reach approximately 500,000 USD per day.

Although ship owners must pay higher war risk insurance premiums and increase wages for crew members, many shipments still generate substantial profits. This is prompting numerous shipping companies to continue operating on this critical route.

The Strait of #Hormuz is considered one of the world's most important energy transportation corridors, where approximately one-fifth of global oil and liquefied gas supply passes through. Therefore, each journey through this region is now viewed as a major test between profit opportunities and operational risks.
