I passed by an eyeglass store today and just took a casual look. I was on the fence about buying, but the salesperson was so pleasant that I ended up getting a pair of glasses made.

I have mild myopia. Previously, my eyes would hurt and tear up after looking at a computer for just half an hour. I thought something was wrong with my eyes, so I toughed it out for several years. Eventually, I couldn't take it anymore and went to the hospital. The doctor said it was just nearsightedness caused by eye strain, and that wearing glasses would solve it.

Last time I took a ride-sharing car, I met a programmer who said he couldn't drive for long, especially not at night, because his eyes hurt. I immediately realized his situation was just like mine—transitioning from no myopia to myopia, not accepting it, and refusing to wear glasses. I let him try my glasses, and he suddenly discovered a new world. He realized how clear everything could be and how effortlessly he could see.
