# Five Steps for Ordinary People to Rise from the Bottom and Change Their Destiny

To change your destiny, ordinary people must take five steps.

The first step is the hardest—nearly 90% of poor people get stuck here.

## Step One: Adopt Wealthy Mindset

What is a wealthy mindset?

It's understanding principles that bring you benefits and help you make money.

Flattery, treating people to meals, and giving gifts are practical truths. Those ideals that tell you to maintain integrity, uphold morality, and not seek connections are poison to you—don't listen to a single word, because they go against human nature.

When it comes to bidding, securing projects, and holidays, you must give benefits to influential people and key contacts—this is how the real world works. Only when you provide value to others will they give you opportunities.

The essence of interpersonal relationships is mutual exchange of interests. You give others value, and they'll give you opportunities.

Don't fear being used—as long as you gain benefits. Society fundamentally works through mutual exploitation; it's just called "mutual achievement" when it sounds better.

Nobody helps those who betray them. When anyone helps you, essentially they're helping themselves.

Everything is calculated based on self-interest, while ensuring the other party benefits too: your clients' interests, influential people's interests, friends' interests. Otherwise, you'll fail and get kicked out.

Those "immoral" tactics you see in TV dramas are mostly correct in real life—they're worth learning. Accepting this new philosophy means transformation—saying goodbye to your old self.

## Step Two: Find Ways to Monetize Your Resources

If you can't replicate your boss's business due to high costs and barriers, you must rely on personal networks.

The more people you've helped and the more wealthy and influential people you know, the more opportunities you'll have to work with them when they need manpower. You can be someone's subordinate or assistant, earning their trust through loyalty, obedience, and competence.

Always prioritize their interests. Be resourceful and articulate. Build good relationships with people around powerful figures. Make many friends and few enemies.

Don't talk about integrity or pride—if you can't let go of face, don't play this game. Powerful people also bow to those stronger than them and seek connections too—it's not shameful, just like you.

## Step Three: Shatter Your Old Values and Completely Overturn Your Thinking

The poor becoming rich is going against fate itself. You're poor now because of past wrong thoughts and actions. To become rich, you must completely change your mindset and behavior.

**1. Don't listen to poor people's advice**

Relatives and friends—unless they've already made a fortune, every additional word is poison. Poor people's experience will only keep you poor.

**2. Reverse your old beliefs**

If you used to think hard work makes money, tell yourself: hard work alone can't make real money. If you used to think diligence leads to wealth, tell yourself: diligence doesn't necessarily lead to wealth. The goal is to overturn all past wrong thinking and give yourself a complete mental reset.

The core is: replace a poor person's mind with a rich person's mind. Most people are stubborn, believing they're right. Only a tiny minority can admit they were wrong and accept new ideas. If your thinking doesn't change, you'll always stay poor.

## Step Four: Accumulate Resources and Networks

Once your mindset changes, you accept the principles, and you leave the poor circle behind, you must start accumulating resources and networks to prepare for wealth generation.

**How to build networks: actively help others.**

Don't fear losses—help someone once and observe their response to see if they deserve deeper friendship.

Help 100 people, maybe 5 will reciprocate. If just one of them can guide you, you can take off. People afraid of losses and who love free handouts can only stay poor their whole lives.

**While working a job, adopt an entrepreneurial mindset:**

- Find a boss and a patron
- Earn your boss's trust
- Secretly learn the core of your boss's business
- Accumulate customer resources
- Understand the entire model

You're not there to get by—you're there to learn the trade. If you reach this step, changing your fate is just a matter of time.

## Step Five: Change Your Circle and Environment

Distance yourself from everyone who drains you:

- People who consume your time, energy, and effort
- Those who preach class immobility and complain constantly
- Lazy people addicted to gaming with no drive
- People who just drink, eat, and brag
- Anyone with negative energy and poor-person mentality

Even if they're parents or partners, if you can't change them, learn to isolate their influence. They'll keep you satisfied with mediocrity, make you lazy, and keep you at the bottom forever.

You must:

- Make new friends
- Upgrade your network
- Learn only from people stronger and wealthier than you

This step is hardest because habits are the hardest thing to change. This step will also eliminate 90% of poor people.

To gain wealth in China, you must see economic trends clearly and align with the times. If you feel money is getting harder to earn, reflect: has your mindset fallen behind? Are you stuck in homogeneous competition?

What truly changes your fate has never been random knowledge, but rather: **mindset—circle—networks—action—environment**—these five steps.

If you follow them one by one, you can at least jump up one socioeconomic tier.
