Cybersecurity firm Malwarebytes Labs has issued a warning that a phishing website impersonating the newly launched browser game Pudgy World is attempting to steal cryptocurrency wallet passwords. The counterfeit site is highly deceptive, mimicking a wallet unlock interface when users attempt to connect, and exploiting the official game's wallet verification function to carry out the attack. The attack campaign targets multiple wallet types, including Ethereum and Solana, indicating its operation methods are quite sophisticated. Shortly before this, a free game called Pudgy World was just launched, which is associated with the Pudgy Penguins NFT brand.
