Coinworld News reports that according to the U.S. Columbia Broadcasting System, the U.S. Senate voted on Wednesday to reject a war powers resolution introduced by New Jersey Democratic Senator Cory Booker, with a vote of 53 to 47. This effort to restrict Trump's military action against Iran suffered its third setback. The Senate previously rejected an Iran war powers resolution introduced by Virginia Democratic Senator Tim Kaine on March 4, marking the second rejection of an attempt to restrict Trump's military action against Iran within less than a year. The previous instance occurred in June of last year following U.S. airstrikes on Iranian nuclear facilities.
