# Don't Leave Empty-Handed on Your Last Day

I've seen too many people hastily pack up their desks when leaving, only to be tormented by paperwork and verification requests afterward.

**Essential Documents Checklist:**
Resignation Certificate ( – your new employer will need it | Social Insurance Documentation ) – required for transfer | Salary Certificate ( – essential for background checks ) | Proof of Contract Termination ( – the key to unemployment benefits )

**Smart moves:**
Document all work handovers with photos, delete chat histories as needed, and log out of all company software accounts. Time your social insurance carefully—if you leave after the 15th, coverage continues that month. To avoid a gap, join your new company before the 15th.

**Most commonly overlooked:**
Clear your computer's privacy records. Go to System Settings → Privacy → Activity History and uncheck everything.

Resigning is a graceful farewell, not a hasty escape. Don't miss collecting a single required document, and don't leave a trace you shouldn't. Your professional reputation deserves this level of care.
