Just read: Nike has discontinued its NFT projects and virtual sneakers. The reason is quite clear – too little interest in the digital art market. That’s not really surprising when you consider how quickly the NFT hype died down.
The company had big plans with NFTs, but in the end, the market simply didn’t develop as many had hoped. Virtual sneakers were supposed to be the future, but users just weren’t ready for it. Now Nike is drawing the consequences and ending the NFT adventure.
Interesting how quickly such trends disappear, isn’t it? First, everyone was excited about digital assets and NFTs, now there’s not much left of that. Nike is just one of many companies facing the same problem.
