I just read that Jamie Dimon is pushing JPMorgan to accelerate its move into tokenization. Basically, the guy is publicly acknowledging that finance is transforming and that his bank can't fall behind. That’s quite significant coming from someone like him.

The interesting part here is that Jamie Dimon is not exactly a crypto enthusiast, right? But it’s clear that even traditional financial institutions see that tokenization is not a passing fad. It’s a real transformation happening.

Think about what this means: if JPMorgan needs to move faster on tokenization, it means the financial sector as a whole is recognizing that this change is inevitable. It’s not a question of if it will happen, but when and who will lead it.

What I find most relevant is that Jamie Dimon is being honest about the urgency. When someone in his position says they need to speed up, it’s probably because they’re already seeing that they’re falling behind. And if JPMorgan is in that position, imagine where other banks stand.

This is the kind of move we’ll likely see more of in 2026 and beyond: traditional financial institutions recognizing that tokenization is central to the future. Jamie Dimon saying this publicly is like a stamp of approval that this is serious, even if he probably doesn’t see it that way.
