Honestly, I was surprised when I realized that half of the homework can be solved just by pointing the camera at the problem. Solving a problem from a photo is no longer science fiction but an everyday reality. I tried many services and found out the following.

For pure mathematics, Photomath is a game-changer — point the camera at an equation, and within seconds, you see not only the answer but also all the steps of the solution. It works with printed and handwritten text, although it sometimes glitches with messy handwriting. Mathway is similar, but the interface is a bit more user-friendly, plus it covers geometry and trigonometry.

If you need a photo-based solution not only for math, then MathGPT is a lifesaver — it also includes physics and chemistry. Free, no registration required, although the interface is in English. Symbolab is more for students — it beautifully plots integrals, differential equations, and graphs.

For serious calculations, Wolfram|Alpha is simply powerful. You can input anything from chemistry to statistics. But photo recognition is only available in the paid version. Gauth is versatile — it covers not only math but also languages, biology, and economics.

In general, if you already have ChatGPT or Gemini, you can just upload the photo there. The photo-based problem solving also works there, and often even better than in specialized services.
