I just noticed some interesting numbers on CoinGlass—over the past day, there’s been a wave of liquidations across the crypto market, and short positions took the full hit. Of the total $826 million in liquidations, a whopping $661 million was attributable to short positions, while long positions lost only $166 million.

BTC took the biggest blow: positions worth $375 million were closed there, and on ether it came to $184 million. CoinGlass data shows that nearly 194,000 positions were liquidated during the day. The largest single liquidation happened on Hyperliquid in the BTC-USD pair—someone was wiped out for $15.75 million.

Volatility is clearly making itself felt. I wonder how things will unfold next?
