In this book that resonates with the needs of the times, Lama Tsongkhapa delves into how to understand the true meaning of life, how to accept death, and how to help the dying and the deceased.
There is life, there is death. Everyone will eventually face death. When we are still alive, we can deal with death in two ways: ignore it or confront our own death by clear thinking about death to reduce the pain that death may bring. However, neither of these methods can truly overcome death.
As a Buddhist, I consider death to be a natural process. As long as I am still alive on this earth, death is inevitable. After I realized that I cannot escape death, I don't see any reason to worry. I prefer to see death as simply changing into a new set of clothes when the old ones are worn out, rather than an end. However, death is unpredictable: we do not know when or how we will die. Therefore, it is necessary for us to make some preparations before death actually occurs.
