On February 12, according to Fox Business reporter Eleanor Terrett, three sources revealed that Trump has selected Brian Quintenz, former CFTC commissioner and a16z encryption department policy director, as chairman of the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
CFTC Acting Chairman Pham said in a statement that she had collaborated with Quintenz on numerous important initiatives during his tenure as a CFTC commissioner and believed he would achieve the same success in the encryption currency and innovation field.
