Democrats are preparing to introduce a bill that would prohibit high-ranking US officials from earning money on crypto assets, against the backdrop of the history with the TRUMP and MELANIA meme coins.
Its name is the Modern Emoluments and Malfeasance Enforcement (MEME) Act.
The author of the initiative called for the restoration of criminal liability for senior officials and their families for participating in financial schemes with crypto assets.
