On March 2nd, Jinshi data reported that on March 1st, Luchen Technology announced that Luchen Cloud will stop providing DeepSeek API services. Previously, the company collaborated with Ascend to release related inference APIs and cloud mirroring services. CEO You Yang recently stated that enterprises may face a monthly loss of 400 million yuan, and later apologized and deleted inappropriate statements. CEO You Yang of Luchen Technology recently mentioned that the full version of DeepSeek-R1 is priced at 16 yuan per million tokens (output). If 100 billion tokens are output daily, the accessing enterprise can generate 48 million yuan in revenue per month. According to his calculation, completing the output of 100 billion tokens requires about 4,000 machines equipped with H800. Based on the current market price or depreciation of H800, the monthly machine cost alone amounts to 450 million yuan, thus the enterprises may face a monthly loss of 400 million yuan. The more users, the higher the service cost, and the greater the loss. This morning, You Yang apologized in a post, stating, "I was too impulsive yesterday and said some things that led to misunderstandings about the deepseek infrastructure team. The deepseek infrastructure team has top-notch technology and has made significant contributions to the open-source community. I sincerely apologize, have deleted inappropriate statements, and thank everyone for the reminders!" (NBD)
