Gate News bot Nachrichten, laut Bloomberg hat JPMorgan ein Entwicklungsprogramm für die Tokenisierung von Kohlendioxid-Krediten gestartet. Das Programm wird von der Blockchain-Abteilung Kinexys von JPMorgan geleitet und in Zusammenarbeit mit drei Kohlenstoffunternehmen: S&P Global Commodity Insights, EcoRegistry und dem International Carbon Registry durchgeführt.

Laut einer am Mittwoch veröffentlichten Erklärung wird die neue Anwendung Tokenisierung von Kohlenstoffgutschriften im Registrierungsystem der drei Partnerunternehmen durchführen. Das Projekt wird die Anwendung der Blockchain-Technologie im Bereich der Nachverfolgung des Eigentums an Kohlenstoffgutschriften testen und den gesamten Prozess von der Ausgabe bis zur Stornierung abdecken.
