Gate News, 21. April — Der Zeitplan für die Abreise von US-Vizepräsident Vance nach Pakistan bleibt unklar, so Quellen, die mit der Angelegenheit vertraut gemacht wurden. Das Weiße Haus hat zusätzliche politische Treffen für Dienstag, den 22. April, angesetzt, an denen der Vizepräsident teilnehmen wird. Vance war ursprünglich für Dienstagmorgen nach Islamabad aufgebrochen, doch der Zeitpunkt ist aufgrund laufender Gespräche inzwischen ungewiss geworden.

Eine zentrale offene Frage ist, ob Irans Delegation an den Treffen in Pakistan teilnehmen wird. Gegen späten Dienstagmorgen hatte Iran noch nicht entschieden, ob es Beamte entsendet, um an der zweiten Gesprächsrunde teilzunehmen.
