BlockBeats News, on January 11th, the SCIHUB community officially released the White Paper of the project, written by 0xAA, the founder of WTF Academy, and reviewed and edited by Alexandra Elbakyan, the founder of Sci-Hub, providing important guidance for the vision and planning of the project. SCIHUB supports scientific funding in the form of Meme coins, inspired by proof.fun and MIRA. The White Paper explicitly states that the SCIHUB community will donate a total of 200 million SCIHUB coins (20% of the total) to Alexandra’s account to support the operation and development of Sci-Hub. According to the plan, Alexandra can sell up to 1% of the total amount (10 million SCIHUB coins) per month for the normal operation of the platform. Currently, Alexandra has raised $500,000 through SCIHUB for the development and maintenance of Sci-Hub. The White Paper also proposes several future plans, including: - Journal reward function: providing Token rewards for contributors and readers of scientific literature to incentivize more open academic contributions; - Decentralized storage protocol: creating a permissionless and censorship-resistant storage platform to protect scientific literature, experimental data, and code; - Open science launch platform: providing funding support for innovative open science projects to help scientists and developers realize their research visions.
