Gate.io News bot message, according to a report released by the encryption security platform Immunefi, the cryptocurrency industry suffered losses exceeding $92.4 million due to hacker attacks in April 2025. Data shows that from the beginning of 2025 to date, the total cumulative loss in the cryptocurrency industry has reached $1.742 billion, surpassing the total loss for the entire year of 2024.

The report pointed out that the largest attack incident in April occurred in the UPCX project, with losses reaching 70 million USD, followed by the KiloEx platform which suffered losses of 7.5 million USD. All these attacks were concentrated on DeFi projects, with Ethereum and BNB Chain being the main victim chains.
